My mother has become an avid knitter, crocheter and spinner in the past few years. Since retiring and since the arrival of her twelve grandchildren, there has been no stopping her! Her work is fun, different and tailored to each and every baby or child, so I asked if I could share her projects and thoughts with you all. This page is the result. "When my nephew told me that he has invented a puzzle for children which has just come out, I asked him where I could get one as I wanted to buy one for my grandson, Linus. My nephew told me he would send one to Linus and that I didn’t have to pay, so instead I decided to knit a little winter hat for his youngest son, Ture. I used the same yarn as for Rawson, Tilda & Sebbie and the same pattern sheet from Sirdar." (See below)

Since my mother had wool left over from the hat she knitted for baby Rawson, she knitted this brown hat for young Sebastian and the lovely white beret for Tilda, his cousin.

Baby Rawson's mother, Jen, loves home knits and asked if my mother could knit the little boy a winter cardigan. Hence, when my mother visited them in Ireland, they went together to the wool shop to choose both the wool and the pattern. This was the result: the perfect winter cardi for the perfect little boy!
